As a Queensland Labor member, you can help shape decisions affecting our community, influence the policy of Labor Governments and discuss new ideas with passionate members.
By getting involved in the Labor Party, members can access exclusive political training and develop their campaigning skills to become the most effective agent for change in their local communities. Membership costs $25 per year.
Labor holds branch meetings in Gympie on the first Sunday of the month starting at 10am at Avenues Lifestyle Hall, 37 Red Hill Rd, Gympie. Every second month we aim to meet for a casual lunch at a nearby hotel.
You don’t need to be a member to attend our meetings, social events or lunches – if you would like to meet with like-minded people and discuss contemporary issues, please drop in.
Not sure if meetings are for you? Come to a meeting and see if you like what you see. If you prefer the social events to branch meetings – that’s OK. We know that not everyone likes meetings – so we have developed a Friends of Gympie Labor group. Joining this group simply lets us know you would like to be invited to lunches or events and there are no obligations on you to attend. You can join this group here.
Naturally, we welcome new members and members who have moved to the Gympie Region from other areas, and would like to transfer their membership to the Gympie branch.
