Jim Snee

Jim Snee – Life Member

Joined Greenslopes branch in 1977, transferred to the Gympie branch in 2021 and meets with the Cooloola Coast group

Held many branch committee and policy committee positions

Involved in the re-write of Party Rules after federal intervention of Queensland ALP which led to election of Goss government 1989

John Taylor

John Taylor – Long Service Certificate

Member for 25 years

Joined Narangba branch in 1997, transferred to the Gympie branch in 2022

Served for many years as Delegate to State Conference and Executive for National Council

Campaigned heavily for “Not for Sale” (2005) and “Work Choices” (2013) campaigns and at State and Federal elections.

Jamie Kerr – Long Service Certificate

Member for 25 years

Joined in 1997, very active in Park Ridge, Jimboomba, Kawana and Maroochydore branches. Transferred to Gympie in 2020.

Regular attendee and contributor to Gympie branch meetings. His experience in running branch administration and campaigns is well regarded

Attends Cooloola Cove meetings to garner support for the Gympie & Wide Bay electorates

Faye Kerr

Member for 15 years

Joined Kawana branch 2007, transferred to Maroochydore branch 2013.

Joined Gympie branch 2021, also meets with the Cooloola Cove group

Supported State and Federal campaigns in each branch. In her 80’s Faye is still dedicated to the cause

Dawn Doyle – Dedicated Service Award

Member for 33 years

Unwavering support together with her late husband – hosting branch meetings in their home, fund raising and placing Labor signs in their yard during every election campaign

Even though Dawn’s health is frail – at 89 years young she still follows what is happening in the branch updates

Member for 15 years

Joined NZ’s Labour party aged 15

Joined Queensland Labor Alexander Hills/Capalaba branch in 2008. Transferred to Gympie branch in 2017

Very active and hard-working member especially during 2015 & 2016 campaigns.
